Observing the 400-year-old homes in Richelieu, the word ‘perfection’ emerged from my mind. Bricks on top of one another, holding hands side by side for a few centuries, is perfection. However, what was more incredible to me were some areas exposing hidden inner layers from a different era. It was the strength in the foundations that stood the test of time.

While studying and imagining in front of a home, I traveled through time, getting a feel for the life and culture of the olden days in this region. It also made me ponder about how a strong foundation is the key to a long-lasting relationship.
